On December 1, Syngenta Group (HK) Holdings Company Limited won two 2022 Hong Kong Green and Sustainable Finance Awards presented by the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA). The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, John Lee Ka-chiu, attended and witnessed the award presentation.

On April 26 this year, Syngenta Group (HK) Holdings Company Limited issued a three-year sustainability -linked syndicated loan of US$4.5 billion, which is the largest syndicated loan ever in this regard in the Asia-Pacific region in history, which also marks the largest syndicated loan completed in the Greater China loan market since the beginning of 2022.

HKQAA is a non-profit organization initiated and established by the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. At present, it has become one of the conformity assessment institutions with leading position and market influence in Hong Kong and even the Asia-Pacific market in independent certification, especially in the area of green sustainable development index assessment and certification. The HKQAA’s award and recognition is another example of Syngenta Group’s commitment to reducing the carbon footprint of agriculture and promoting sustainable development.
