Bluestar Elkem recently announced its climate roadmap, detailing how the company plans to develop its business in line with the Paris agreement of limiting global warming. The company aimed to reduce its total fossil CO2 emissions by 28% from 2020 to 2031 and reach net zero emissions by 2050. Meanwhile, the company is expected to grow faster than the market and achieve revenue growth of 5-10% per year.
As a leader in silicone solutions for EV battery protection, Bluestar Elkem has supplied products for more than one million EVs, accounting for 15% of the world’s total. It has set up Vianode as a new company dedicated to growth opportunities for battery materials.
