On November 13, Pirelli achieved excellent results in the newly published Dow Jones World and Europe Sustainability Indices with a score of 77, far beyond the average of 31 in the Automobiles & Components sector.
The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices, one of the most important evaluation index systems for the sustainability of companies in the world, evaluate the sustainability of companies from the perspective of investment. Composed of three dimensions of environment, society and economy, the ESG Scores of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices, assess more than 600 environmental, social and economic indicators of companies. With general indicators and industry indicators that consider the characteristics of the industry, the Scores will be adjusted in accordance to their weight to obtain the final result.
According to the assessment, Pirelli obtained top scores in a number of sustainability management areas, particularly in corporate governance, policies regarding innovation management and taxation, environmental management and strategy against climate change. Being once again confirmed in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices is an acknowledgement of Pirelli’s commitment in sustainable growth.
