KraussMaffei recently announced its roadmap to achieve its sustainability goals, to reach climate neutrality by 2030. To this end, KraussMaffei will accomplish its goals by building green facilities, creating leading sustainable solutions, and improving its product designs.
It plans to achieve the EcoVadis “Silver” sustainability rating level by 2023, to be one of the best plastics machinery manufacturers in terms of sustainability and cost-effectiveness by 2025. KraussMaffei plans to obtain the EcoVadis “Gold” rating level by 2027, to achieve zero carbon footprint by 2030—meaning all its factories worldwide will operate in a CO2-neutral manner—and to achieve a product carbon footprint of zero by 2035—all its machines will be manufactured in a CO2-neutral manner.
KraussMaffei’s new plant in Laatzen near Hanover and its new Group headquarters near Munich are currently being built to the highest environmental standards. Both sites are certified according to the DGNB system (German Sustainable Building Council). In addition, KraussMaffei’s state-of-the-art digital solutions and recycling technologies have helped its customers successfully recycle more than 1 million tons of plastics.
