Syngenta Biologicals and biotech company Intrinsyx Bio announced a partnership to bring a novel biological solution to the global agricultural market on July 8. 

The biological solution applies Intrinsyx Bio’s proprietary endophyte formulations to agricultural crops through seed treatments and foliar applications. This allows farmers to adopt more flexible nutrient management strategies, and improves seedling growth and soil health, thereby promoting the sustainable development of agriculture.

Endophytes are tiny microorganisms that colonize within plants and can directly fix atmospheric nitrogen, making key nutrients such as phosphorus and micronutrients more available to plants. This reduces the need for synthetic fertilizers.
